Otaria was a new setting in Dominaria when 'Odyssey' premiered. It seems like they've retconned a few locations to this continent since then, which is all for the better. We can't have everything we don't know put in Jamuraa.

Kamahl the barbarian is off to make his fortune in the gladiatorial games hosted by the Cabal. He leaves behind his sister Jeska, but quickly finds his way with other contestants. There are political machinations at work above him in the leadership of the Cabal, under the waves in the Cephalid-controlled Mer Empire, on the plains of the Order and in the Krosan forest. Don't worry, his home in the mountains will get dragged into it, too.

Everything circles around our McGuffin, the Mirari. These were okay books, but without the familiar underpinnings of Magic this whole sequence felt like generic fantasy.
