A fun and fast cyberpunk heist adventure. Read in a sitting on a quiet day off. The plot moves quickly making for a light read if you're looking for an easy cyberpunk story that focuses less on the philosophical tone of the genre and more on bombastic moments and high energy. Reminded me at times of a netflix heist movie that I would tell people that I enjoyed it but barely remember that I watched it

The first half of this book is mostly where the issues lie. We are introduced to several characters who we know very little about. The next couple chapters try to give us more insight, however very little time was given to any single character before switching to the next one within the same chapter. This made it difficult to remember who's who and what they're doing and due to that I struggled to care for any of them.
The second half does a better job of this, typically focusing on 2 or 3 characters at anyone time which was easier to follow along and be curious.
As for the ending (ambiguous as it was), it did give some insight to events that took place in the game and it perhaps is one of the most intriguing plots that hasn't truly come to a conclusion through either medium yet and that makes me excited for the future of the IP.
The book as a whole only starts making sense once you get to the end. Perhaps the author was trying to capture the vibe of the game, but it didn't translate well in this particular format for me personally.
