screams

okay. okay. i'm okay. that's a lie i'm not at all okay

I- this review will be a half-coherent ramble so

The plot:
I actually feel like the plot wasn't as strong in this book as it has been in other ones but i mean i'm here for the characters anyway so (although I felt like the climax of the book was...anticlimactic)

The characters:
I love them all so much??? The gangsey is so cool - though I wish there would've been more Noah :(. Anyway Henry was a great character (why is everything he says so very...teenagery? i could see myself or my friends saying his dialogue). The whole Laumonier thing was...weird?? I feel like there would be long stretches of him not being there and then he just pops up and shoots someone and I'm like....oh yeah he (they?) exists??

The ships:
Obviously Bluesey is just...*chefs kiss* and PYNCH what what what I love them and I love how they like...adopted a little orphan goat girl? yes please

I just love how Stiefvater writes (YES I HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE) like whenever I get stuck writing something I'm like...what would Maggie Stiefvater write??

Also she got increasingly creative with her POVS...like the first book had the gangsey...and this last one had a forest's pov...a demon cockroach...a wacko six hundred year old illegitimate princess...beautiful

and now just a list of...thoughts:
- when ronan was proud of blue after she was suspended
- whenever ronan called gansey "dad"
- that one time adam looked gansey in the eye and mouthed "yeehaw" and they both smirked
- noah :(((
- when henry put out the trash in only a madonna shirt and got kidnapped (#relatableteenthings)
- the...toga...party
- "i guess the king will always come first, won't he?"
- PYYNCHH
- Matthew's going away party at the Barns
- matthew was so cute
- that time ronan called blue "bro" and she called him "man" (brotp)
- THE GANSEYS LIKE BLUE AND HENRY
- the ending *wipes tear*
- now i need to read call down the hawk to see what happens w ronan lol

This book was a fucking amazing read. I am still in shock and it makes me want to reread the entire series I'm just stunned by how beautiful this was. No words, just go read it and experience the magic of it all.

I thought that this was a good conclusion to The Raven Cycle. I loved the writing style, and the main characters were so well developed. However, I think there were too many characters that weren’t necessary for the plot, which meant the plot was a bit slow in places or some parts of the book didn’t really feel that connected to the whole story of the series. I did find that a part of the ending was a bit disappointing, but I can understand why Maggie Stiefvater chose to write the ending that way.

This series was really lovely to read.  All the characters were written well, with details that brought them to life more and more with each chapter.  The plot was good and I really enjoyed the writing style.  In the re-read though I’m kinda disappointed there isn’t more, the ending just wasn’t as satisfying as I remember it.  The ending of this book isn’t bad it just feels like there could have been more, either way I loved this series and it’s definitely a comfort to read.
