The banter in this book was TOP tier! However, that ending murdered everything it had going.

Reading through some of these reviews, I think a lot of readers are being pretty tough on this book. When it comes to romance novels anymore, I go in with super low expectations—I've read better fanfiction than some of the romance novels being released nowadays, especially spicy ones. That all being said, if a romance novel has 1) a semblance of a plot and some world/character-building and 2) spice that feels organic, then I can't really complain. Filthy Rich Vampire achieved both of these things!
You have to suspend some disbelief to enjoy this novel, no doubt. The pacing of the relationship is fast. Were there also some plot holes? Yeah, sure, but not large enough I'd complain. I thoroughly enjoyed the world and lore building and the insights into the vampire world we were given. It felt thought-out and intentional—not just an "ooh let me make my MMC a rich vampire." Did the MCs have some faults? Also yes. The virginity trope was huge in the book, and while it played into the vampire lore well enough, it was still a tiny bit annoying for Thea to not know if she'd ever made herself come; and there was some lack of communication at times with Julian being mysterious about himself and his species.
Overall, though, I highly enjoyed this. The spice, as mentioned, felt organic and naturally placed. There was a plot with some tense moments that had me on the edge of my seat—especially by the time it came to the end and a cliffhanger appeared. There are parts that are fairly predictable, but I do think the array of characters make up for it. Also shoutout to the brother Sebastian—our first impression of him is bad enough that you think he may be an antagonist, but he ends up simply being your love-to-hate, hate-to-love annoying little brother.

This was a fun read. I picked it up as a smutty palette cleanser since I’ve been reading some heavier/dense books lately, and while it wasn’t quite as spicy as I expected it still kept me entertained. The story moves quickly and the plot was interesting enough to keep me turning pages. The FMC’s sexual naïveté felt a little overdone and the MC’s nickname for her gave me the ick. Other than that, I enjoyed the ride and will keep going with the series.
