this literally has everything. i’m hesitant to give it a full five stars seeing as im not even half way through the entire series but wow! i don’t really get why people would find this fast paced, i personally watched the original four movies before i have decided to read all the books and watch songbird and snakes and the new one coming next year, and i remember most of the 2nd movie being inside the games and we don’t get there until the last third of this novel. however, i enjoy the world building being laid into the first two parts of the novel very much. i don’t really know what else to say, this has everything.

So incredibly happy I've finally gotten around to reading this series.
Read book 2 in 1 day, I didnt want to put it down for anything.

The way Collins writes has a way of pulling you into the story, feeling the determination, fear, small moments of joy, and everything else in-between.

Amazing.
