This was very informative and really helpful in my research!

This book wasn't for me. Part of the problem was the European person moves to Latin America to find themself narrative. The book is also sorely lacking in mycelium other than fairly common information. There is a lack of actionable information as well. It seems like a beginner text, which is not where I am. However, I also admit that I am not an artist and therefore the focus on artists collectives and work did not resonate. I did read the chapter on language, which being mostly direct information from contributors, was very interesting to me.

Finished up to teaching 7. The book could have used an editor because as it is published now, it reads more like a blog/diary of a lady referencing her experiences with others in the mycology community. There are several concepts repeated but so similarly I felt deja vu in a couple teachings. I was hoping to gain more insight into how to incorporate mycelium aspects into my life but didn't walk away with anything except learning more about the injustices of small Latin American communities and tangentially how mushrooms are related to them.
