Honestly, I’m pretty sure this was the worst book I’ve ever read. For the record, I’ve never given a book one star up until this point.

Entertaining slasher, but the characters aren't loveable and there's a lot of little things that are frustrating how the hell did what's his name end up being pardoned? He's the instigator for all the issues! And why did the adults want to kill an entire generation all because of one group of kids, of which two were pardoned and asked to join their plan? And why did the MC hang out with them and seemingly want to be friends with these terrible teens that clearly don't care about anyone else nor if their pranks kill people?

Quinn and her father moved to Kettle Springs to find a fresh start. When they get there, they find the town divided in two. On one side are the kids who don't want to listen and want to get out of town as soon as possible. They are sick of the town's old-fashioned ways. On the other side are the adults that want their children behaved and following the town's traditions. Everyone will soon find themselves in a deadly battle.
Clown in a Cornfield reads like a modernized slasher. There were a couple of twists in the book that honestly surprised me. It was an interesting read, and I breezed through it in two days. I do have to say there were a couple of things in the book that I didn't like, so it brought my rating of the book down. I just couldn't get past the divide between adults and kids and the book just became corny and ridiculous, but not in a good way. I was really hoping to love this book, but I just didn't. It was kind of disappointing.
