So much fun and humour. Takehiko Inoue is still finding his style but is building confidence with every chapter.

I watched the tv show, read the parts that didn’t get animated and watched the first slam dunk, so I am very familiar with that series. Excited to go through it again since it only rises in my mind in terms of anime/manga that I’ve consumed.

Art is also a lot better than I thought it would be for Innoue first big manga. But he is one of the goats for a reason.

i know people said the first volume was hard to get through, and damn was it hard to get through

but i see the beginnings of takehiko inoues legacy in this volume and i know im gonna eat this shit up

my rating for the entire series is 4★ and is below just so i don't flood my goodreads with all 31 volumes:

what the fuck stop making me feel things i just love this manga i love life i love everything i wanna just go outside and do what i love that's what this manga will make you do, it gives you hope that maybe you can do this and it will be okay

How did teenage girls get the reputation for being boy-crazy lunatics who would do weird things for the boys they like when teenage boys would literally build a whole relationship with a competitive sport if a girl says she likes it?
