One of those heart-warming novels about women and their friendships, hidden powers and general loveliness. The story is a basically a tale of revenge on stupid, bad-behaving men who underestimate the women in their lives and take them for granted. What balances it all is that there are also great men in this story, so its not as one-sided as it sounds, and makes the novel much more realistic. I loved the characters and wanted them to have a happy ending. I was in great suspense the whole time reading this book and couldn't turn the page fast enough to learn what happens to the people in it.
In short, this is a wonderful piece of fluff that doesn't insult your intelligence and makes you feel better - a great choice for those low moments in your life.

My first ever Milly Johnson book and after reading, I can hand on heart say I need to read more. Firstly, I must say that Jimmy Diamond is a pig! This man, goes around calling women his ''best girl'' only there are numerous ''best girls''

Connie Diamond is confronted by Jimmy's employee Della, who drops a bombshell. Following this.the pair conspire to ruin him. Which as a reader and hopless romantic I feel is completely justified and necessary.

This is a book which I became engrossed in very quickly, it contains many laugh out loud moments and was a pleasure to read.

This book, as are most of Milly Johnson's books, was great fun and a great escape. Milly Johnson's books always tend to delve just a little deeper than you think they will and this is a pleasant surprise.

I love Milly's books as the characters are described so well that you can't help but feel that you know them personally.
