I guessed the ending early on but since it was a quicker "read" I finished it. My predictions were correct and I'm glad the main character made the choice she made to help Chloe.

This book is absolutely terrifying! Not like horror book terrifying but ....as a mother of a 17 year old son who is a junior in high school, who's father was violent and has been absent in his life .... that this is a very real possibility. This hits home in so many ways that it was hard to not put myself in Felicia's shoes. Which obligation weighs heaviest ...protect the one or protect the many? This book is devastating and heartbreaking, gut wrenching, and far too real! You have been warned!

Psychological; short and quick but also thought-provoking, intense, and heart-breaking; so suspenseful and enthralling; a bit predictable but still very engaging; an amazing audiobook specifically; satisfying ending; I devoured this.

And this is why I love Lucinda Berry šŸ¤ŒšŸ»

Thank you to Libro.fm for an ALC of this one!

This audio original is short, but packs a major punch. It's dark and intense and an important thriller based on content alone.

The story and narrator immediately hooked me in and never let up! This is one Iā€™ll be thinking about for a while.
