An interesting but heartbreaking story. I don't think I was in the best place mentally to read this book. Had an entire cry fest at the end.

3,25 una storiella carina, niente da dire

SPOILER
Capisco la spettacolarità del fuoco d'artificio, ma perché Scott ha deciso di morire assiderato nello spazio? Non poteva fare overdose di pillole ed evitare quella morte così poco piacevole?

3.5 stars because I think it was too short and left too unexplained.

Just meh… kind of a dumb plot that feels starts out with a major plot hole that loses credibility throughout the rest of the book

An unusual ending/final chapter, but everything up until that point was great. I can appreciate the queer representation and the idea behind the story. Will keep on my bookshelf since it’s such a quick read.

I don't usually read Horror. And I've never read any of King's books before; the thick books have always intimidated me. I picked this book up because it was short and I'd be reading a Stephen King book and also trying out new genres such as Horror. I was disappointed cause this book is not horror.

That however is not my reason for the low rating. The reason I'm giving this book one star is cause this book is HELLA BORING. This book is weightless (get it?). In fact this book didn't really seem like a book at all it was just an idea.

The characters too were HELLA BORING mostly because instead of being proper characters they were just walking stereotypes.

And I'm not against the political message of this book but the tone was too preachy; like there were parts when I thought this book was just written to show his political opinions.

I'm sure he's written some absolutely fantastic books too but this just wasn't one of them.

And that is why I took 5 days reading a book that is only around 150 pages

Never before picked up anything by him cause I'm not into horror and intimidated by their size. But this was short so I prepared myself for horror.but this book wasn't horror..not like it was horror but not scary or good but like it was actually not horror. How did this book win last year's GR choice award for horror..
