This is the conclusion to the "Verse" graphic novel series.

I think the art is really good, and I liked the diversity of characters. There's also plenty of LGBT representation.

However, I feel like this series either had not enough volumes to fully explore the themes of the story, or the author came up with the ending after book 2. The pacing of Book 1 is slow, building up the setting and the characters, and then Book 2 is even slower. There's lots of filler and "romantic tension" scenes with characters that left no time for the actual plot development. And then it all got shoved into Book 3, which rushed everything and honestly had a half-assed ending.

I didn't feel like I was reading a well-plotted series, which is a shame since I thought the world could have been explored much more thoroughly even with the 3 books it had.

Offered differing opinions, but finally a choice must be made. The wordless 'coda' at the end didn't quite answer my questions, though.

I teared up a bit at the end. It was a fun, unique fantasy adventure and I appreciated the highlighting of friendship, found family, and doing good in the world. The magic system of the Verse was interesting and overall this was a very lovely ending!

4.5 ✨ (rounded up to 5 for GR)

Really enjoyed the conclusion to this story. Great characters, storyline, and looove the art. 1/2 ✨ subtracted because I feel like Neitya’s background wasn’t revealed enough, and so I still have questions in regards to how she got here, what the 12th house was, and the Song’s role in her world, and overall the climax was resolved without enough follow up afterwards. Still highly recommend.
