I normally like Tessa Bailey, but I could not stand Piper. I realize there is probably character growth, but I didnt care enough to get there.

Cute story of Piper being sent to Washington as punishment from her step-dad Daniel for throwing a wild party after being dumped by her selfish short time boyfriend who said she wouldn’t ever become anything. She falls in love with Brendon, who is a king crab fisherman (similar to her deceased father) but not before they had their little tiffs when she first rolled into the small town with her sister Hannah looking like spoiled girls. Piper makes a small family friends and relationships in the city but gets scared on the commitment when she finds out from her old friend (who ratted on her about the party) that she is on the cover of some LA magazine and has this wild runaway story. She is contemplating going back to LA but knows she loves Brendon more. They have some disagreements with her being on the fence right before he goes on a fishing trip and she is late to see him away at the port because the older gentleman that she walks to the museum each morning hit his head on the concrete so he thinks she doesn’t want him anymore and will be leaving back to LA. She has her opening night of her newly renovated bar (cross and daughters) and no one shows so she goes to LA to her friend’s party celebrating her return. When Brendon is returning, he realizes the mistake he has made and sees the text she sent that stated she was on her way but an emergency came up. He arrived to port late due to a fire elsewhere on the water so he arrives to a packed bar and her sister Hannah running the bar but no Piper. Hannah explains where she went and provides the name of the party place she will be at. Other people at the bar remanence about how good Piper is and how she is part of that town. He flies to LA, helps her leave the party, booms her, and they go back home to Seattle and she lived happily ever after. The boom scenes were really oddly scripted and the writing was fairly simple but a cute story overall.
She was like a child, and he was just so annoying. The first part was cute. Also, I liked Hannah and Fox, and I'm excited to read their book.

Piper’s a sweet city girl with no responsibilities more than be beautiful on her instagram and Brendan is this grumpy and brooding fisherman that have a lot of routines and loves the ocean.
When Piper is send to spend a season on Westport, her parents childhood town, to learn about responsibilities ,she meets Brendan… who doesn’t like her at all in the first place.
But you know what they say, there’s a fine line between love and hate.
I loved this book. It is really fast to read, have this funny scenes that I love and enjoy, and the smut is *chef kiss*
I loved the chemistry and both of them have an amazing backstories. And the relationship between Hannah and Piper? Ohmygod I love it!!!
