ADORABLE (/▽\*)。o○♡
This book owns that adjective. For forever. It's the kind of book that I just like so easily and effortlessly, so obviously Imma give it 5 stars. The buildup, the storyline, the scenes, the banter, the family-ness, the way every chapter ended, the suspense in Tiffy & Leon's relationship--AAK I love it!
The scenes had that classic British (or English?) humor; it's awkward and unapologetically funny (disclaimer: my benchmark is Adele & Fleabag). The Johnny White search bit was a great way to expand Leon's character and background. The Twomey family is a hopeless romantic by nature indeed. For Tiffy's background aka the trauma--taking the form of a jerk I might say--was also just well done. It's subtle and not forced, because most toxic relationships aren't that loud. Most end up in buried feelings and delayed realization in how bad it all really was. What was portrayed for Tiffy was in just the right portion for her to still experience a triumph to grow as a person and character. Love it.
Quick shoutout to how the fact that not ALL her friends are made to be perfect; not all of them are always in accord so it made the whole story more relatable and realistic. Yay!

Kinda in between 2 and 3 stars - cute at times but felt pretty immature with probably every romance cliche to exist…. Took a while to get into also, first half was quite boring.

This wasn’t terrible but I think I wasn’t fully convinced by the chemistry between Tiff and Leon. I’ll have to watch the show / mini tv movie but this was just okay for me. The side characters were more amusing / captivating compared to the main characters.

Can you fall for someone you have never met? Beth O’Leary has me thinking that you can! The Flatshare centers are two roommates who share a flat due to their completely opposite schedules. They were never supposed to meet, but love tends to find a way...even through Post-It notes!
Leon is a quiet, shy guy who works the night shift at a hospital. His brother is incarcerated and legal bills for his appeal are adding up fast. He comes up with the idea to rent his flat out to a stranger. They would never be there at the same time, so it is easy income. Little did he know he would get more than a roommate; he got Tiffy.
Tiffy is a six foot tall redhead with a colorful, carefree personality. She is quirky and has a crazy ex. It starts off as a simple note about sharing baked goods, and turns into so much more.
I really adored this story and the format of the writing. The novel is written in alternating perspectives that make it an engaging read. Leon and Tiffy are relatable and I laughed and cried more than once while reading!
This is book will be available May 28th and I very much recommend it.

I really, really liked this one. I love how many tough topics it tackles without ever being a book *about* those topics. I typically take a while to get into a book, but I became enamored pretty quickly with this one and it hooked me until the end.
I love roommate tropes, and I love people who communicate through written words. It was fun and unique to have those two ideas combined into this one. Additionally, the inclusion of such strong friendships and sibling relationships, and the challenge that came with those relationships, was such a nice treat. All of the supporting characters were such a delight to get to know, and they all felt like they had their own storylines and importance.
The sexual tension between the characters is unreal and so well built.
