This was a beautifully written novel. I loved the poems and related to so many of them. I’ve read previous books from this series and loved them as well!

When I started this book, I was in a rough place. It was the breathe of air I need to get me through but life got in the way and I put it down. When I picked it up again, it didn’t seem as profound as when I first began reading it. Maybe it’s my mindset that has changed or maybe the first book was better but I simply didn’t enjoy reading this book overall. This book is not a reflection of the author’s talent, I bought the other books in this series but this one simply didn’t hit home for me.

I genuinely enjoyed this poetry/prose collection. Quite a few of Peppernell's pieces really resonated with me and I look forward to doing a reread of it to bookmarking particular sections. My favorites included her mental health section, themes on hope, and inspiration on how to continue on when the going gets tough. This was definitely a right read at the right time for me and I found myself rereading sections that felt particularly relevant in my life. I feel this book would be most gauged towards a millennial audience with particular focus on those who enjoy LGBT lit. Overall, I would recommend this work to anyone who needs to be uplifted, inspiration, or just a wholesome bit of hope.
