A well-written and evocative story. The characters are intensely relatable, and Pip's trauma is dealt with in a sympathetic but non-pitying manner. The plot flowed well, and I would overall recommend both this book and the author.

Audiobook. Two women, decades apart, seeking healing from life altering trauma (both in the past). Though the events they endured were difficult, the book still felt sweet and hopeful. Loved the narrator.

I’d rate this at 2.5. The premise is good. The writing is not. There was an incredible amount of inner dialogue and descriptions for everything. I don’t need two pages on the dilemma of what to wear.

I bought this on Audible as an impulse purchase on a 2 for 1 sale and I was hooked from the first chapter. Complex time plots woven together in the present tense seamlessly. I loved the character development and at times there were some predictable elements to the plot, but enough twists and surprises to keep you fascinated throughout. An interesting view of what life "should" be and what "home" means.
