Girl. Part two took me out!

Where do I start? Lol. Goodness, Landon was complete utter trash. It’s a lot of Landon’s in this world. A LOT. We definitely need more men like Waze. College love is a different level because you’re young, open, willing, and forgiving. It’s all a growing experience and Addie definitely needed that. She definitely needed to experience Waze too. I’m glad she got rid of that eff boy. I’m ready to see Addie and Waze’s part two even though Tess is next.

Heavy on the Toxic

Landon was just an all around awful human being! Avalyn was stressing me out! Sis, had me ready to shake some sense into her. Can't wait to read the spinoff

This book was...how do I put it nicely? Maybe I be won’t be nice it was trash. The plot was contrived, the characters weren’t likeable (except for Waze, I did like him) and the whole feeling of this book felt like a reality tv show. Everyone ends up pregnant or engaged? Not believable.
Adalyn was a complete dumbass for half the book, staying in such a one sided relationship with Landon, who’s just a man whore with no morals. Landon is a manipulative user who only wanted to get his dick wet. All the other characters were just there for show and the only one I liked was Waze because he was above all the bs. The whole love triangle was boring and not really there because Adalyn kept deciding that Landon was the better option so why was Waze even in this book other than to make boring plot tropes?
I don’t think there were any saving factors to this book. It represented black people badly and make us look like all we do are party, get pregnant, and end up in toxic relationships. All the characters that had parents all came from split homes or had parents that were dead. It was realistic. Reading the synopsis I should’ve expected this but I don’t think I could fully comprended the level of stupidity I was about to read. Not worth reading any more books and I’m glad it was short, no more torture.

Toxic kind of love is right because baby Landon is the definition of toxic. While I literally screamed at Adalyn while reading this, I’ve been there before. But never again. Landon is a boy playing with Adalyn’s emotions. He claims that he loves her but constantly cheating on her. He’s controlling and gaslights her at every point. While Adalyn sees the red flags left and right, she chooses to ignore them due to childhood trauma that she has yet to deal with. I really loved the story while it was sometimes hard for me to read myself due to it hitting so close to home. I am excited to read the rest of series.
