I would definitely say that the book had a different feel from the previous ones. That may be in part due to the difference in age between now and when I read the previous book. However, it did a great job of catching me up and keeping me entertained throughout.

This book is better than the last one, but still really STRANGE. I don't know if I'll read any more of the series.

I'm not sure if I finished this book as a kid, but I know for a fact that I DNFed the series after this book. I didn't even get to this book rereading the series as an adult.

I really admire that the author let David stay flawed to balance out the significant power increase. He remains by far mt favourite character and I could always do with more of him
