This book was beautiful, lovely, devastating, heartbreaking, haunting, and also kind of uplifting. It was very real and I appreciated and hated that about it. This is one of those books that will weigh on me long after it is done. I am both left feeling speechless and so full of thoughts and feelings about this. This is one of most powerful books I’ve read. It had “The Fault in Our Stars” vibes in heartbreak level.

wasn't a fan of this one. didn't connect to the characters and I thought at times it romanticised mental illness. I listened to the audiobook and think that was the wrong choice as I hated the actor's voices.

Weird thing about this book is it was assigned for one of the book clubs I am in but we weren't supposed to read this book. We were slotted for a different one so we really had no context on what it was about.
I started listening to it and I found myself wanting to keep getting back to it. I enjoyed the relationship that developed between Violet and Finch. Finch's family annoyed me and their lack of concern for anything.
I was good until the end. My dad died from suicide. His method was shooting himself in the head. I honestly wish I would have had some kind of warning. I finished listening to the book right before bed and I cried myself to sleep. It just hit me hard.
