Definitely check content warnings before reading this book!

This book was hard to read. I felt like it did a good job of depicting how suicide, depression and mental illness through the lens of teenagers with how flawed (For lack of a better word) their thinking is. I feel like despite some of the flaws this is an important book. My only real issue with it is how much blame Violet put on herself foe

Finch’s death.

The ending threw me off a bit. Unexpected turn of events & while there was some closure, it felt a bit rushed. 

Characters were complex but loveable. Finch & Violet are clearly meant to intersect their stories & do so, in a painfully beautiful way.

This story is heartbreaking but I loved it so much. I really loved the relationship that the characters built throughout the story and how both characters developed due to the time that they spent together.

 It was realistic, informative & an enjoyable read. Not my type of genre though and the last few chapter were a struggle to read. Only read them to make sure I didn’t miss anything
