Going into the book I was a little wary as I'd heard it had bad mental health representation. I'm guessing this is either because
1) The book implied that suicide was a choice/it was selfish/someone was to blame
2) somehow romanticizing mental illness
The book was so much sadder than I remember the movie being. Even if it might be problematic I think it was definitely worth reading.

I didn’t really like this book, because it was pretty depressing. But overall I guess it was just me and my non-maturity that was the problem. If I was older, I probably would’ve handled it a bit better and not started sobbing half way through, never stopping...
LIKE WHAT OMG ITS SO SAD
Okay so don’t get me wrong-the writing is amazing, as you can see by its impact on me… but just know that I was bawling my eyes out!! BEWARE.

definitely a sad book. i didn’t expect the ending. the book was definitely on a sensitive topic and left me thinking about it a lot even after reading the book. it was good but idk not really my favorite genre.
