I absolutely loved this book on audible!! The storyline and characters are just so well done. Zed is just so lovable and Dani was just so sassy and stubborn. You will be shocked by the twists and turns and laugh out loud. Love the style of writing of this author! Highly recommend this series!!

Cute story, there were some parts I really enjoyed. I really thought with more put into it, it could have gone in a really great direction. Zed's not as funny as the first book but I still enjoyed some laughs, also the insta-love *sigh*. I'm listening to the audio books which has it's own set of issues but I still enjoyed the book over all.

Welcome back to Mystic Bayou! This time it is Mayor Zed’s turn to fall. I adored him in How to Date Your Dragon and was thrilled to see the big ol bear tumble. I love this series. I am always left with a smile on my face and a much lighter heart. I can’t wait to revisit Mystic Bayou again.
The narrators did the story justice and made it come alive.

I didn't really know what I was getting into with this book and it was just okay. Its fun for fall when you're in the mood for fantasy worlds without a ton of chaos and world building. This series is a quick read, and you don't have to saddle in for the long haul.

This book does have sex, but not a lot. It also has a murder mystery running rampant in Mystic Bayou...again! There is cussing and pie. Can't forget the pie.
The best part of this whole book was listening to Zed's voice. Jonathan Davis was spot on. The easy going cadence that is Zed fit perfectly. Bael and Jillian make appearances as well as a lot of the rest of the town.
The research on the rift is necessary though a lot of the townsfolk aren't sure they like the intrusion. Unknown people everywhere all up in their business doesn't sit well with creatures that have kept secrets for centuries. Of course, Bael is still disowned, but who cares. He's happy. Jillian's happy. Now, let's make Zed happy. And then there is Zed's mama bear. Yep, there is someone for her too. It's all very exciting!!

It was okay. The plot was okay, the characters were okay, what little conflict there was was okay (and extremely short-lived). In short, it was an okay read. But it had the potential to be so much more, and it’s “okayness” is a bit disappointing.
