3.75 stars. At first this book was so boring to me. Then it got better, and was such a lovely story. Not quite 4 stars for me, but pretty close. I will definitely be trying to read more classics from here on out.
The simplicity of the story is what attracted me most, such a light read it was to brighten my mood, with lovely characters that I learned a lot from. I got attached to certain characters in the village, it is a shame that I had to part and leave them behind.
It brought back all those Jane Austen’s novels’ vibes in a charming way.
I won’t give the plot out but if you’re a fan of Austen, you should give a try. You’ll definitely love it!

One of the few books I had to read for school which I absolutely could not stand.
You know what I actually didn’t hate it. Silas was kinda cute and eppie (a hideous name but sure that’s not her fault the poor pet) was also kinda cute because she wanted to take care of him and she loved him even though they weren’t blood relatives. Honestly if it was written in English that I actually understood I would have liked it. And that’s the tea ☕️

Honestly it wasn't much of a story. It was definitely more of a study. Very good for insomnia in my experience.
