They say poetry is the voice of lovers and this has never been more evident then when reading the voice of King to his love. This biker man with a poets heart just melted mine, as I read the flow of his love like a river. It was not always smooth, calm or pretty, sometimes, it was violent, raging and powerful. Words of the heart are like windows to the soul and through the soul of King, I viewed beauty.
I'm going to share bits and pieces of the poems that struck a cord within my own heart and hope everyone of you will pick up these words of life and love.
WORTHY:
You have the worth you give yourself
SOUL IN SCRIPT:
As I write you a love letter.
My soul scrawled in script for you to decipher.
HER LAUGH:
Her laugh reminded me
Of the pop
When the cork escapes champagne
TWO HALVES:
We wander and are lost
Until we find the person
We were split from
At birth
And become once more
Whole.
LIFE'S PURPOSE:
In whatever planes of existence there are
On any star or parallel planet
You and I are together
These are just snippets of the beautiful prose contained within the pages of this book. To say I enjoyed it is an understatement. To say this a a testament of the extreme talent of this author is a truth and even though she may never label herself a poet.... she writes gorgeous words of poetry. I highly recommend this book.

Beautiful poetry and illustrations. Loved the tie-ins with the overarching plotlines of the Fallen Men series.
This is a beautiful collection of poems by Giana Darling and even though I am not an avid poetry reader I can definitely see the beauty that is written between these pages.
I loved the story that was being told along the way and how even though I haven't read Kings and Cress's story in a couple of years I could see the tale that Giana was trying to tell and the change in both characters. There are some beautiful graphics and pictures throughout as well.

Wow! Now this isnt usually my usual thing i read. But i loved seeing this side of King Kyle Garro our young poet. Talk about wow. And giving you glimpses into future books i feel like! So beautifully written.
This was a really wonderful collection of poems. I think I've highlighted and bookmarked most of the pages since I adore a lot of the pieces here; they resonated within me.
I love poems and proses. I love literature. It was one of my favorite subjects in college alongside creative writing, so it was easy for me to fall in love with this.
I personally love reading and writing poems, and the poems that I read here are the types that I can find myself writing and being immersed in. So good!
Anyway, the foreshadowing in the last few pages for After the Fall slapped me in the face. I didn't see those coming, honestly! Now I'm really apprehensive about what will happen, although the final poetry pieces made me even more excited to read the book.
The minute that it goes live in a few days I'm legit gonna read it in one sitting!
I have a soft spot for poetry so this was an easy 5-star read for me.

This was a very beautiful poetry book that showcased Giana's talent for writing poetry but was also in a way a treat for the lovers of The Fallen Man series because the poems are supposed to be written by King and Cress and a few of them truly reflect their relationship but also the other characters in the series.
I really enjoyed the collection and few of the poems really stuck out to me. There were also a few that we have seen in the books previously but it's nice to have this unique collection as a part of the series for sure.

"I want you to know when I am gone
That you gave me the greatest gift a person can
You gifted me your heart
But you also gave me mine"

A beautiful collection by a master of words, this author took us further into King Garro's world. In it we see the beauty through his eyes, the pain he harbors in his soul, the love he cradles in his heart... Its so moving, an experience even if you are new to this author and her subject matter, what an introduction, and for a reader and lover of her work already I am in awe that she could write so masterfully as a character, for her characters. It adds a level of depth not often seen, just brilliant.
