I probably loved this poetry collection more this time around than for my first read. I am again amazed by how Gianna captures King's tone throughout all of these poems and how one knows exactly about whom he is talking. My favorites have not changed but I am guessing that with every reread more of them will become all-time favorites.

I loved this companion novel. It is so great to get an insight into King's and Cress's feelings and their love for one another but at the same time, it also highlights how strong one can be. I cannot get over the fact, how perfect these poems where and I am usually not a huge poetry fan.

Just perfection. I loved every single one of these poems! I'm not a huge poetry person, but this collection really made me rethink that! So many highlights in this for me! So many that made me really stop and think. Absolute perfection!

Now, I'll admit I'm not an avid poetry reader. Far from it. But not only is this collection written by an author I love greatly, but it's written from the POV of a character I adore in a series I ache to live it.
What Giana Darling has done here is something you don't see that often. Made a lover of an art form out of a single book.
Maybe it's a singular event. Maybe it's not just King, but Giana herself who can make a poetry lover out of me.
But I already want to reread this. And I plan to. Because this made me very very nervous for After The Fall.
