I was a bit hesitant because I wasn't sure what exactly the title was implying (i.e., was it going to be homophobic where I'd be sad after finishing), but I saw the adorable art and knew it would be more cute than sad. It was pretty funny, and it's as the title says. A mother believes that her son is gay because of him "slipping up," such as saying boyfriend instead of girlfriend, having a close guy friend that he talks about in a way that's not in a bestie type of way but more in a loving way, etc. I think the mom's approach to the situation is interesting. She lets her son do as he pleases and supports him from the sidelines. Yuri, the younger brother (my favorite character), does the same and keeps to himself for most of the book but is very observant. The father sometimes makes homophobic or toxic masculinity comments, and Hiroki (the main character) agrees with him because I'm sure he looks up to his father like most kids. Still, I'm sure this is delaying his road to self-acceptance. His mother nudges the conversation to be more positive, but when Yuri shuts his dad down, I am pleased to know he's about to be Hiroki's biggest supporter. I hope in future books, primarily his father stops with his stereotypes and nasty comments but also for his mom to be able to tell Hiroki that it's okay to be gay and be more verbally supportive. (Most of her internal thoughts I wish she said). I'm looking forward to reading the others!

It's cute. It's quick. It's very much a casual manga.

The chapters could definitely be longer and I wouldn't mind - it's a short format similar to Azumangadaioh and The Way of the Househusband.

The art and dialogue are accessible and easy to navigate because of this.

I'll continue to read the series.
