My new favorite MZ book! I loved Louie and Josh. The family dynamic reminds me of Nani and Lilo.
Not to mention characters from previous books getting cameos.

I love the single parent trope so much. This was such a cute book and I fell in love so quickly. The way he was overprotective but also they way that they joke about

Another slow burn romance novel from Mariana Zapata. I didn't like this one nearly as much as [b:The Wall of Winnipeg and Me|29367958|The Wall of Winnipeg and Me|Mariana Zapata|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1456774327s/29367958.jpg|48358625], but I also don't necessarily love the "catching up with other characters" especially in romance novels. It can quickly slide into feeling a little bit jarring, and I thought the whole Vanessa/Aiden catch up was slightly out of place.
That being said, a very enjoyable read. Diana is raising her brother's kids at the young age of 25 (and she's been doing it since she was 22?). Dallas lives across the street and straight up resists her because he's still married, although getting divorced? I guess admirable but a little bit silly conflict. Nothing a simple--hey I like you, but I can't pursue it because I'm married. Maybe when the divorce goes through. Instead of this dance. Except then there wouldn't be a novel.

4.5 stars for the first book I’ve read by this author. I loved the slow burn and how patient Dallas was. I wish there had been a little more spice, but still an amazing book without it. I loved all the little things that Dallas does for Diana. I loved the Princess Bride references and how he calls her Peach after Princess Peach. ☺️
