Beautifully written but of little value. Full of casual racism and misogyny. The narration was very well done.

I have complicated feelings.

On one hand, this is brilliantly witty and clever. On the other, it is definitely a product of its time, with racist language and entire chapters that a modern reader should find repugnant.

O.Henry at his worst set of short stories. I couldnt find a relation between the stories as there was supposed to be some relation somewhere as i had heard. Only thing was stories drifted from one person to other with some small link, but totally there was no sense in any story. Well i read 50 % :(
