My only wish with this book was recipes, for her pie crust at least. This was a fun-loving, I think I figured it out storyline, with characters that needed to learn to forgive, embrace today and eat pie!

Thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish! I definitely appreciated the Fried Green Tomatoes vibe and the twist of mysticism made the book all the more engrossing and very difficult to put away.

I absolutely loved this book! It was recommended to me by a friend, and I have to say it's one of my favorite sweet stories.
Unexpected and wonderful, it gave me Practical Magic meets Hart of Dixie vibes. I was smiling all the way through the end.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF.

This book just really wasn't for me.

5 stars, not because it’s the best written book, but because it gave me all the feels. Just what I needed now. Plus, I adore blackbirds and magical realism.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. The lightly supernatural elements added to the story well.

There's one thing that bothered me. I might have gotten this wrong because I'm from the west, but so many characters said "bless your heart" in genuine heartfelt ways. From the southern people I've known and what I've read, "bless your heart" is usually much more of a polite euphemism for F-you! than a response to kindness.
