If you want a nice, predictable story that seems to be set in a less funny, southern Stars Hollow, you found it!
The predictably didn't bother me. I was looking for an easy read that was just going to tell me a little story without making me work for it. Fit the bill, even if part of the ending made me roll my eyes a bit.

The writing was a bit stretched, with a very dull pace. But it helped if you visualized the book as a Hallmark Movie while reading.
The story goes back & forth in time & is narrated with alternative perspectives – which I didn’t particularly love for this story.
The characters are interesting enough, but it still felt like the author had just touched the surface & left the real, raw emotions unattended.

Super slow from start to finish. Nothing exciting happened at all. Might make a good Hallmark movie or something. I love those. But reading this felt like a chore. Luckily, it was heartwarming enough that it didn’t put me in a reading slump. I only finished it because it was a book club pick and I didn’t want to DNF it for that reason. Although, I still almost did a few times. I know for a fact a couple of the girls loved it and one even purchased it twice but it was not for me.

This book was fantastic. My friend suggested I read it and oh boy, am I glad I did! A heartwarming story of the power of love and forgiveness. This really was a beautiful story.

Cute cozy town book. Even through pain the truth will always be revealed. The characters each have their mysteries which draws you in.
