This book was a bit of a mess. I'm pretty sure I hate all of the characters now.

Sometimes there are those books that you start in the morning and put down. Then there are the books that you start in the morning and when you don't finish them before you have to leave for work leaving you to have to wait through a shift to hurry back to them. This book is the later! I was so agitated that I didn't have the time to finish it in one sitting! I was also worried that since it had been a while since I'd read The Selection that it would be hard to feel familiar with the characters right away but that wasn't the case.
I am excited to see how the trilogy will end! Come on 2014!

Literally don't talk to me this book was so bad. There's cringy YA dystopian and then there's this series. It's in its own league of bad. I'd rather only read The Hunger Games and Twilight for the rest of my life than finish this series.

The story was really fast paced compared to the first book - that made it more enjoyable and easier to get through.

Conversely, the character development really took a back seat - all of a sudden she knows what she wants, then she doesn’t, then she does. She’s doing the exact same thing as Maxon, but she can’t accept the position he is in?

America’s father was the star of the show - honestly, he’s the father that every child wishes they had. He was so supportive.
