I was provided a copy of this book so that I could leave an honest review.

This is the cookbook that goes along with the Man of the Month series. It has some short stories mixed in with the recipes.

I loved the blend of the book. It was nice to see more of the characters I love. And I found a few recipes that I plan on trying in the future.

Great job!!!

Rounded up to 3 stars overall.

This is tough to rate as there is a little bit of everything in this book.

There is the cookbook which has some interesting recipes. Alas I have to say that recipe wise there are some good ones like the Lasagna Rolls. Other recipes are Skillet Buffalo Dip with Homemade Tortillas as well as drinks to go with the food and starters. This didn’t work for me because well I really do not like to cook and Texas food ain’t my kind of jam.

The recipes get 3 stars from me.

Slices of life come in between the recipes. We get a sneak peek Jenna & Reece which gets 3 stars from me.

Nolan & Shelby get 2 stars.

Spencer & Brooke get 3 stars.

I found it all to be mundane. I enjoyed Jenna & Reece’s book, as well as Nolan & Shelby’s and Spencer & Brooke’s but after that I don’t really care what happens to them.

The bonus story is of Tiffany and Eric. They both work at The Fix and have both had a crush on each other but Tiffany dated Eric’s brother for a while before he accepted a job out of Texas. There was never any chemistry between Ben & Tiffany.

Eric and Tiffany finally get together after months of dancing around one another. It’s all very insta everything then to add oil to the fire, Ben comes back and Eric takes something the wrong way and then Tiffany does and they get their HFN.

3 stars for Tiffany & Eric.

As always Ms. Jenner has written an upbeat read with chemistry, banter, sassy and sexy times with some angst but this one just isn’t for me.

It was a combination of all three. Cookbook, tidbits and stories.

This book is a must have if you have enjoyed the food and drinks in the Man of the Month books. While the regular stories revolve around romance and the need to keep the bar afloat, this book is all about the recipes for the food and drink within the stories. I cannot wait to try them in my kitchen. And in J. Kenner style the book also has a few short stories intertwined with some of the most loved characters in the entire series. You need to get yourself a copy of this book!!

***ARC PROVIDED FOR HONEST REVIEW***

Bar Bites really put my multi tasking skills to the test! I was drinking my Fizzy Watermelon, while making the white chocolate cranberry cookie recipe, and reading Eric and Tiffany’s short story while they were in the oven (and maybe while I was preparing the dough...). Almost burnt the cookies because the timer went off at a juicy part and I did t want to put my kindle down... but my Step-mum saved the day.

The cookbook was an excellent addition to the Man of the Month series! And with the added bonus stories, it got me hook line and sinker. I’ve loved the chance to make some southern influenced, try some new drinks, and get some extra content of some of my fave MOTM couples! Plus the new short story of Tiffany and Eric.

I can’t wait to try more recipes!

I had a lot of fun with this review because it isn't really as much of a review as it is DINNER! Haha

I was really lucky to be accepted to be on this tour because it involves two of my favorite things, books and cooking. I have enjoyed the chance to make some of Suzanne M Johnson's recipes in the past through her work with Lexi Blake on the Masters and Mercenaries Bits and Bites so when Inkslinger PR asked for bloggers to help with this blog tour I jumped at the chance. The Man of the Month books are such fun, swoon worthy reads and food playing such a central role in the stories I couldn't want to get the chance to try out some of these food that make me drool as I read about them. Before I show you what I made I also want to mention how much I love the little 'Slice's of Life' we get in the actually cookbook. These quick looks into the lives of some of our favorite characters are always a fun way to peek in to the worlds we have already 'left' but have been missing since we closed the last page in each characters book. Also, let's just talk about how each month's recipes have not only some fun foods that are totally yummy but drinks to go along with them and y'all know I am totally down for that, ha! I think I may need to have a re-read party for each Man of the Month and make the recipes that go along with it, any one else in?

You'll want to check out the blog for the full post, pictures plus two yummy recipes for you to try!

Upon finishing J. Kenner’s Man of the Month series, I found myself unwilling to say goodbye to the series. It has been my addiction for months, diving into each book as they’re released. Fortunately, there was a little extra for me to dive into. Bar Bites provides us with recipes, what happened next stories, and a new story. It’s a great extra for anyone who wants some more from the series.

The recipes may not be for everyone, but they contain some interesting and easy to follow options. The what happened next stories were little snippets of everyday life, letting us know what came next. The new story was my favourite, giving us a sweet quick read to show The Fix still has the power to create romance even though the Man of the Month contest is over.

I may not have enjoyed this quite as much as I enjoyed the main series, but it was a worthwhile extra for fans. If you’ve enjoyed the main series, then I’d certainly recommend giving Bar Bites a read.
