as someone who has grown up in religious, evangelical communities, i saw a lot of myself and my story throughout this book and i think that probably played a part in why i liked it so much. with some of my favorite things to read about like crime, small-town drama, religious extremism, love triangles, and strained relationships being the main themes in this book, i thoroughly enjoyed it and was captivated the entire time i was reading it.
