I appreciated how real and complex the characters were. I flew through this book. It was a good mystery and I loved the way it unfolded. I cried a lot while reading this book. Yvonne Woon's writing style in this novel was wonderful, and I'm definitely interested in reading more of her work. I really loved how Hana and James's relationship unfolded throughout the story. And I loved the passage where he told Hana that people are more than their mistakes and that he would prove to her that he really was on her side.
