After three books, I have to accept the fact the series is going to be insta love. However, I really enjoyed the mystery for this one; my favorite of the series. I also liked all the secondary characters and see the potential for more books.
I will listen when a predictable, easy read is needed.

Audible. Also available to borrow ebook/audio via KU. This is one of those books that’s less expensive to buy the ebook & add-on the audio ($6.98 for both at the time of this review).
4.5 stars. I like the first two. I loved this one. I felt like there was a better flow to the story and even though we have insight into who the killer is ~ there's still a lot of mystery in that he's not alone. I felt like this was a good mix of mystery, suspense, & romance. Luke Daniel's narration was fantastic. He did a great job of giving each character a unique voice and I always knew exactly who was talking whether it was specifically noted or not.
I think the fact that we met Michael Brody in Hidden (book 1) and we see/hear from several of those characters really helps with immersion into the story. I don't think that anyone HAS to have listened to Hidden & Chilled to enjoy this though. Michael, Jamie Jacobs, and her brother, Chris are thrust into the search for a kidnapper & killer when the remains of an unsolved mystery are uncovered. There were several plot twists that I didn't see coming that elevated this story even further. I was hooked from beginning to end.
I will continue to listen in order, but am definitely looking forward to Chris's book.

The discovery of an abandoned bunker containing student backpacks and hidden bodies reignites the cold case. With masterfully woven plot twists, the story unfolds, leaving you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Micheal Brody is trying to find his brother after 20 years. What happened to him? The only person who knows is Chris Jacobs. After 20 years they have found the missing children by Michaels brother isn’t among them. Now he’s on the hunt for answers!
Wow. I loved this book! It was emotional and gut wrenching at times but It was so well paced and just fabulous. I saw the twist coming pretty quickly but it was still really well done. I have noticed a trend to the way Kendra Elliot’s books end but I’m 1000% here for it.
I love the way all the characters are intermingled and you get to find out side characters main stories. Another fabulous book from Kendra Elliott!

Wow. I read the “Mercy Kilpatrick” and the “Callahan and McLane” series before this book where Michael Brody was introduced. Honestly, I kinda thought he was a bit annoying and nosy. But wow. I really loved him in this book. I also liked the romance between him and Jamie. It was very insta lovey but their emotional connection was also beautiful. And boy I did not see that twist coming. I really enjoyed this book and absolutely loved this. Kendra Elliot is truly an amazing author.

Say What Now?!
This was a wild ride! The main bad guy was so sick and twisted. Even the description of his physical appearance gave me the creeps. I couldn’t wait to see how he was going to get caught. I figured out who he worked for fairly easily, but the motive was a whole different thing. That part made my jaw drop. The race to find Chris was so intense. I was shocked by his own plot twist. The build up and the suspense was so good. I really enjoyed this book. There was so much going on at such a rapid pace. It kept me fully invested from the prologue all the way through the epilogue. I’m moving very slowly through this series, but each book has been good so far.
