This was one of the best books by this author I've read so far. Twenty years prior, a school bus full of private school children disappeared, along with the driver. A few years later, one child walked out of the woods, but has no memory of what happened.
The discovery of children's skeletons re-opens the case, and the grief. Forensic odontologist Lacy Campbell works with the ME, but the real 'star' of this novel is Michael Brody, a reporter we met in 'Hidden' (first book of the series). Michael's brother was one of the children who disappeared with the bus.
Yes, there's romance, but the main focus is on the search for a missing skeleton and the bad guy. Kendra Elliot did an excellent job of maintaining the suspense and throwing a few curves along the way :)
I may just 'borrow' 3.5 (Veiled - a Short Story) - 69 pages for $1.99 meh. but have already bought #4, Alone.
Listened to this one again on a road trip - just as good the second time around

Disturbing, thrilling and satisfying
The twists this takes, the connections they make come together in a very intense read. While the bad is very, the story is well worth it.

Took me a while to get into this one so I read other books in the meantime. It was good overall though and at least it was concerning bones for a "Bone Secrets" series.
