This took me an entire month to finish. I found the writing style really difficult.

Nah babes, not for me. It was utterly boring, even though it has magic in it.
The one thing that pushed it to 3 stars was the writing style, which is the most fascinating type of writing I have encountered. It's basically a one-line paragraph with no pause for dialogue, it's just written in, no quotations, no nothing, and yet, you know exactly who is saying what. Fascinating.
Also, the author has an amazing sense of irony, and it transpires excellently.

Awfully slow and not a lot happening. Sorry, a pretty shallow review, but I loved so much all other novels of JS I read, that I am really disappointed about this. should I re- try?
