I have never understood why people cant cook. Because its just science. Weighing, measuring then carrying out instructions & chemistry makes it work. So for me this book was just perfection 👌 ❤️

Having come from the show and discovering it was based on a book, the book definitely entertains. The insight from Six Thirty, Calvin sharing things with Elizabeth, the more intense horrific assaults were marked differences that added details to the show, which was mostly a good homage. It lacked the exploration of the Civil Rights movement of the show, but all in all, was a quick and addicting read.

One of the best books I’ve ever read. I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love with these characters.

Certainly kept me entertained the entire time m! You have to write the main character and their quirky world. It’s sweet in the end. My only complaint is it’s often too on the nose - the message was screaming at me the entire time.
