Just read 400 pages in the past 2 days to meet the library due date. Fantastic book.
The part I enjoy most about this series is the characters. I could definitely see some of the new ones introduced in this book coming back. I enjoyed the mystery but it feels a little anti-climactic to have it all explained at the end rather than revealed. It could have been edited a bit more too as some parts felt long. The book was well plotted and it was enjoyable to see how it all came together.

Complex, intense and interesting throughout, Lethal White is exactly what I look for in a mystery novel, as well as being an excellent fourth addition in Galbraith (Rowling)'s Strike series.
The characters grew massively throughout this book, especially Robin whose arc had me groaning in frustration, nauseated at her martial situation, before grinning with happiness at her strength.
To me the mystery/ies were fascinating throughout, as with ever clue discovered there was yet another mystery for the detective duo to unravel, however the story remained plausible. Another bonus was that I was very content with the ending of this mystery, as all the questions that were set up throughout were satisfyingly answered.
Solid 4.5 stars

There were over 100 pages missing from my book! I had to finish it off by watching the TV series. Definitely not the same as reading it. Not the authors fault so sorry about the three stars but it’s not my fault either.
This was a good read, no doubt. Rowling is very good at flashing clues that are seemingly worthless, but ultimately come to shape the killer's means, motive, and opportunity. It really wasn't until the ending scene where things were being laid out point for point that I finally understand it all. As a mystery novel reader, I'm usually able to piece things together by the end before the big reveal. I have to tip my hat off to Rowling for fooling me. It was a well written book with well thought out characters. I loved getting to see Strike in action on the streets and interviewing clients, and I liked the addition of Barclay, as well as Robin's expanded role. I think Rowling did a great job of portraying Robin is a person deeply affected by her fatal encounter with the Ripper, and how it shaped her reactions to the world around her and her relationships. A note for the synopsis writers, I would really consider this book 4 crimes for the price of one with all 4 being related, which can at times make the book feel like it lacks focus while also moving at a snail's pace (largely in the first half).
My main gripe with this book as how slowly the first half of the book moves (similarly to Cuckoo's Calling) and how it feels like very little of importance happens in this beginning section. I felt that this book could have been stronger if the first half had been edited down.
My second complaint was learning too much about Robin and Strike's personal lives. In Career of Evil, I was not sold on the Strike/Robin potential romance, but I have to admit the overly dramatic wedding scene might have tipped me on the side of rooting for that pairing. This isn't to say that I didn't enjoy getting a greater glimpse into the more personal aspects of Robin's and Strike's lives, but much of it just felt completely irrelevant and distracting to the actual sleuthing that was supposed to be going on. I hated the use of the epilogue, which I found to be incredibly cheesy and reminded me of what JK Rowling did with the Deathly Hallows. Despite it all, I did find this book to be a pretty solid read and will continue to read more of the adventures of Strike and Robin.

This is the first time I combined listening to the audiobook while simultaneously reading the book, and I truly enjoyed it. I wanted to give this book 5 stars, but then I realized that extra star was really more for the combined experience.
Super gemacht. Hat mich voll überzeugt.
