I didn’t enjoy this very much, hard to define exactly why. I understand why it was repetitive and I actually liked the seemingly narrow world of the tatami room (very student life) but I think the characters trapped in their little patterns were not my favorite and I just don’t find the extraordinarily horny and lewd comic relief very comical, just flat. I also don’t think this book will stick in my head.

I can accurately say I’ve never read a book like this. A true time loop of a novel that feels designed for Deja vu and making the reader go “wait haven’t I seen this before?” Interesting plot lines, weird as hell characters, and just a lot going on without anything really happening.
