It is wild to me that a book published in 2012, written by an author in Salt Lake City, Utah, has a better grip on plagues than actual people right now in 2022.
This was a good book. I guessed some of the plot twists, but they were still enjoyable. I just don't feel the chemistry between Ky and Cassia and I stand by that. I don't buy them as a couple, so that kind of hurt the rating, as it was a large portion of the series.

This book definitely didn't need to be this long, but it was improved from the last two books. The prose has improved, the plot was more interesting, and the characters have all gotten better.
Graphic: Death, Medical content, Medical trauma, and Terminal illness
