I honestly did not know what to expect from a 200 page novella titled The Dead Cat Tail Assassins.....but somehow this exceeded all expectations

This was my first story of P. Djèlí Clark's and I am immediately hooked with his writing. In just over 200 pages, he was able to craft such a rich world, fill it with such vibrant and unique characters, and hook me with such a fun and glorious story.

Clark is able to establish mystery in the setting and plot, wit and charm and just pure chicanery from our FMC, an eerie gothic horror vibe throughout the city and amongst the other Dead Cat Tail Assassins, and yet still allow for so much fun and laughter and tomfoolery throughout.

Absolutely loved this book and want to read through Clark's entire catalogue now.
