Opal's POV was confusing. And it wasn't much of a set up for the dreamer trilogy, nothing that couldn't have been said in the first chapter of CDTH.

I listened to the audiobook on my drive back to college and it was a lovely experience.

Necesito más, para variar.
Me encanta este mundo que se ha creado en Henrietta y necesito saber más de Ronan y de todo lo que puede salir de su cabeza.
Osea que por favor, señora Stiefvater, no deje de escribir sobre ello.

The Raven Cycle has wedged its way into my heart and soul and I can proudly call it my absolute favorite book series. I feel in love with each and every character and their unique personalities. I had such high expectations for this short story, so maybe that's why I didn't like it that much.
The story was included in the back of my 'The Raven King' copy, and I was going to just read it later on as a small read just when I'm bored. Then I found out that Goodreads actually counted it as a separate book and since I am three books behind...I cheated a bit, okay! But I didn't mind because I just knew I would love this book. Ronan and Adam were two of my favorite characters in the series and not to mention my favorite couple! I remember Opal being light and interesting in the fourth book.
But this book was just kind of 'meh' for me. The beginning was terribly boring to the point where I would only get through about a paragraph before rolling over to take a short nap. Sure, description is great, but it seemed like the description was practically the only thing in this short story! Barely any dialogue, always talking about Opal getting in trouble. It just really got me bored to tears and I hated it. I wasn't even going to finish, that's how bored I was.
But then, the ending somehow took the tiniest of turns that boosted my happiness and got me to read it again. But I hated how it wasn't like it the entire story. But it might just be my reading taste. I like a lot of action (which honestly the Raven Cycle didn't really have a whole lot of but I still somehow feel head over heels in love with the series) and I am just also not used to short stories. I read a lot of long, mostly high fantasy books.
I also was going in, hoping and praying that maybe Gansey or Blue or The Grey Man would show up. But all I had was two phone calls from 'Ganseyfriend' and that was it!
All in all, I just wished this short story had just a bit more. More dialogue, more action. Even just some scenes with more of the older characters.

If this is all we’re gonna get in regards to seeing how Ronan and Adam and company are doing, then I’m going to take it and treasure it wholeheartedly.

The writing made me smile and swoon and just reinforced how much I love this series.

More please!
