I really wish I could give it a better rating, but it was way too short. And it feels like it ended at the point where the actual story was just starting. I really enjoyed it, but I would have loved to see more.

So normally i don't write reviews but no one talked about this So why not say it myself?

David was a pain in the ass, selfish and Confused the hell outta Connor. He just wanted the pervious Conner not giving him what wanted needed despite knowing what it is and not giving him up to Emmett. I mean if Emmett only see an ass in him based on David's word then David only see the pervious corrner without the submissive addition. And honestly I didn't hate his fiancé that much he wasn't fair to her. It feels like he just hold into her the one he loved before the ginetic disaster occurred, as if refusing to accept the effect it had on him as well.

All in all it was an interesting journey. It literally played with my feelings pulling it in all directions in a good way. I wanted Connor to end up as Emmett's pet but couldn't complain after the author showed us how he needs both -I still hate David by the way-. In the end I felt lost, I wanted to see how those three' chemistries would play out but unfortunately couldn't. I bet if the story went a few more weeks in it would have been a five starer for a lot of people -include me-.

Well... That was different. I haven't made up my mind if I like this kind of story or not. Perhaps, as someone said, a guilty pleasure.

While I didn't quite get why anomalies were suddenly a thing and the population suddenly turned into macho jerks, it was an interesting setup. I was sad to see Connor devolve from a strong executive into a whimpering submissive sex toy, however I got the feeling so was David. The dynamic between Emmet, David and Connor was not what I was expecting but seemed to work for Connor, but the story ened before we really see it in action.

I would not want to be an anomaly in this world!!

Disjointed.

Based on the premise, this is so in keeping with my reading interests that it's exactly the kind of book I should love. Sadly, this book doesn't feel fully realized, like despite knowing what it wants from itself it doesn't quite know how to get there. It keeps losing track of what it wants to focus on, world building or character and relationship developments, and every time the focus shifts it leaves me feeling untethered at its abruptness.

Not a book I can recommend or finish. Ultimately a sad way to start off the new year. Definitely confirmation that I have better luck with fanfiction.

In a world where a crop mutation has led increased aggression from most of the population, Connor Witt is an anomaly. The effects on him have been the opposite. And he's not alone. He's not just a submissive; he's hard-wired to crave a Master. Which makes the world a dangerous place.

Connor's boss is willing to step in to rescue him. Although David is straight, he will be Connor's Master to keep him out of the hands of more predatory men. But security consultant Emmett Drake doesn't think that's good enough. And he's willing to give Connor exactly what he thinks Connor needs. As the rights of the anomalies are being quickly stripped away, Connor finds himself uncertain of his future--and his present.

This started out kind of interesting. But it didn't take long for it to turn in a direction that completely bothered me. The way Connor is treated by individuals who tell him they care for him is frightening. And to be clear, this isn't just a BDSM relationship. It's made fairly clear that Connor has no choice, that all ability to consent or to walk away is gone. I finished the book, but it left me feeling uncomfortable and unhappy.

I Loved this book! Hopefully, KG will pen a sequel. The world she builds is so interesting and the dynamic that she sets up in regards to the relationship of the 3 characters is interesting enough, she has a plethora of avenues at her disposal to expand the story. Awesome HOT read.

Um...I liked elements of this, but not others. Luckily I liked more than I disliked!

Good?

Original idea - biological change across humanity? Very interesting to read :)

Characters - I loved Connor and David instantly, and grew to love Emmett over time as I understood him more.

Ending - Loved it :)

Not So Good

Spoiler Sharing Connor, rather than a threesome - Not my favourite thing to read, but that's personal taste

Personality changes due to the bioengineering - It's rationalised and explained, but I just didn't like it.

Considerable time skipping - So much is skimmed or skipped, and I think that lets it down a little

Anyway, I enjoyed it :)

Can't-put-it-down is an automatic four stars (I reaally like it). This is either very good or it just turns my particular crank beautifully.
Actually, the premise for the dystopia is completely far-fetched, but if this is your cup of tea you Just Won't Care.
