Warning: May contain explosions! Cutesplosions??

I was on the look-out for a new cute book to read and then I bumped into this one. OMG, just look at that cute cat! Those eyes! That fluff!

I just hadn’t expected the explosions. Really. I hadn’t expected that. So many explosions. No blood and gore, oh no, just rainbows and clothes flying around! While I laughed my butt off, really, I am still looking for it, I also felt for the poor thing because he just wanted friends… but you cannot have friends if they explode just by seeing you. That is just not the life. Even for the cutest thing on Earth.

So we see her ideas to become less cute or try to get away from it all. From cutting her hair to wearing the ugliest sweater one can think of. Even going to space is an option. But will it help? Or will things just get worse? I just wanted to hug the little cutie, but haha, I think that would have been a bad idea. I found myself rooting for this cute cat, hoping that she would find some happiness. Some place that would be right for her and not feel guilty about exploding fellow animals.

The later parts of the book and the ending. OMG BOOOOOMMM Sorry, I exploded for cute-overload! That was just so sweet and it made me smile. I won’t tell you more than that, haha, oh no, you will have to read the book to find out what happens in the later parts, but I am sure that everyone will love it.

The art, just the cutest. Really, the illustrator truly captures the cute!

All in all, I am so happy I had the chance to read this book and I loved it. Would highly recommend it if you are in for cute, explosions, but also like rooting for your characters.

This book was not for me.
All the critters exploding ... no thanks. (On the plus side, it wasn't gruesome.)

Reviewed from a library copy.

A very cute, but disturbed book. A kitten is sooo cute that anyone that looks at it will explode. The kitten goes to extreme lengths to try and hide from people so that they won't die, but nothing works. Finally it moves to a deserted island so that no one can die from looking at it. Fluffy become lonely until it finally meets an equally cute dog and they live happily ever after. While the book is cute and the illustrations are colorful and happy - this book is disturbed by BLOWING UP everyone else.

Cute, coloful story about a very cute (too cute) cat. Other animals explode if they see the cat because she is soooo cute.

Great children's book but the morbid adult in me ruined it for my inner-child.

Yikes, that was a dark and dry sense of humor book. Everything that looks at this cute kitten explodes, thankfully in a puff of rainbow smoke, but still the character is gone. Might be best for middle elementary aged kids who aren't sensitive.
