I don't know if Carey's getting better or I'm getting used to his style, but I liked this better than the first two.

A fine addition, a bit long and not as satisfying as the previous books.

Number three in the Felix Castor series. This is very gritty urban fantasy, set in, and around, London. The story tends to meander at first, but still stays gripping and surprising.

Really liked it, and definitely warming to this entire series. There's still some taste of plot twists driven by unexpected revelations about the world, but it didn't bother me at all in this case, and the continuing character evolution through the series is great.

Castor's world gets darker. There really isn't much I can say about this that isn't a spoiler. Good book.
