It was free from some loyalty program I'm a part of. There are definitely worse singles I could have chosen. It was very sweet.

Although it was very short, and somewhat of a ramble, I think something is to be said for the deeper message in the book. Married women get a different amount and kind of respect in today's society. I think she beautifully talked about all the good that getting married would do, and why it would do that good. I found it interesting, and wonderfully feminist.

This felt so much longer than 28 pages.

This was basically just a rambling of all the (silly/dumb/insecure) reasons why the narrator wants to marry her boyfriend.

She pretty much just wants to get married because it seemingly takes too much time and effort to get divorced, hence ensuring he won't leave her.

I suggest you pass. There's nothing special here.

When I read reviews saying that this book was a quick read, I didn't know they meant that it was so short! Despite it lacking any real plot or story line the author does exactly what her title says: gives the reader 38 reasons why she wants to marry her boyfriend. Toward the middle of the book (and by that I mean 10 minutes in) I started disliking the author because she made it seem like the only reason she wanted to marry the guy was because the world was telling her she had to. But then... The last few reasons remind you of the true meaning of getting married (in her eyes, anyway). I definitely ended the book with a big "awwww."
