Midnight Library is one of my favorites. So, I expected a magical-type read. This one was hard for me to stay engaged with though. Such a bummer because I do love Haig!

Based on Haig’s earlier work, I anticipated the magical realism. Despite the tone shifts and occasional preachiness, I enjoyed the unpredictable plot and flawed characters.

📖 - The Life Impossible is a unique, fairytale-like story told in an adult way. The beginning pulled me in quickly and I flew through the first part, but around 40% the pacing slowed and I found my attention drifting. Despite that, it remained a beautifully imaginative read with a certain charm that makes it stand out.
