While you could probably guess by reading it that it’s a debut novel, it’s genuinely skin-crawling.  I appreciate what it aspires to be and I can’t wait to see more from this author.

Well, that was disturbing. I don’t even know what happened here. All I know is that if you are even remotely grieving, skip this one. If, however, you enjoy wondering if what’s going on is due to mental illness or paranormal activity, you’ll like this. I won’t spoil it by saying what exactly is at play here but I will say that this book delivers so much wtf.
