A great psychological thriller, especially for its time! Of course the mc was not reliable by any means as she was slowly losing her mind to the house. I listened to this one and I gotta say, it was a fun listen especially when all the eerie scenes occurred. The ending definitely took ke by surprise as well.

A classic. Can’t believe I haven’t read this before. Loved the prose, haunted house horror is probably my favorite sub genre. Shirley Jackson is probably the best to ever do it.
